Description:

She’s young, deadly, and hunted—with only three days to solve her own murder…

When Evangeline Stone wakes up naked and bruised on a cold slab at the morgue – in a stranger’s body, with no memory of who she is and how she got there – her troubles are only just beginning.  Before that night, she and the other two members of her Triad were star bounty hunters — mercilessly cleansing the city of the murderous creatures living in the shadows, from vampires to shape-shifters to trolls. Then something terrible happened that not only cost all three of them their lives, but also convinced the city’s other Hunters that Evy was a traitor . . . and she can’t even remember what it was.

Now she’s a fugitive, piecing together her memory, trying to deal some serious justice – and discovering that she has only three days to solve her own murder before the reincarnation spell wears off. Because in three days, Evy will die again – but this time, there’s no second chance…

Review:

Evangeline Stone is a dreg hunter working for a secret government agency fighting against the things that go bump in the night.  Or at least she was, until she woke up in the morgue in someone else's body.  Now Evy has to find out why and how she died in order to find the real reasons behind the events, but the last thing she remembers happened well before the events that caused her to take what should have been her last breath.

Wyatt Truman is the handler, or supervisor, of the Triad that Evy is a part of.  Their team has been together for years until death finds a way of bringing everything crashing down around them.  As Wyatt helps Evy recover her memory to be able to hunt down her killers, she also learns that there may be more between them than she initially thought.  Not to mention the deal he made to bring her back and his reasons for doing so.  Unfortunately they still have to fight to keep an alliance between vampires and goblins from happening to insure the survival of the human race.  One catch, can they do it all in three days?

I really enjoyed this read. I am truly looking forward to the next book. :) I have a few suspensions of the handlers and even Wyatt. I don't know why, but I have a funny feeling there is more to him than he has lead on to. ;) Looking forward to it, and glad to hear you enjoyed it.
